About Me: Kimba Matulis

I am a Southern California-based freelance artist, working in many mediums including painting, drawing, embroidery, printmaking, film and digital photography, videography, and digital art. 

In 2019, I graduated from California State University: Long Beach with a degree in Film and Electronic Arts Production Design. During my time in college, I also studied studio arts and film at Lorenzo de Medici Institute in Firenze (Florence), Italy. It was in Italy that I had the opportunity to display my paintings in an open-air art show in the square of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. 

Fun facts: My passions include art, baking, gardening, environmental sustainability, and watching documentaries! 

In 2020, I wrote and illustrated my first children’s picture book titled “Good Morning, Grapes!”.
